Howe did we get here?

Lauren Howe is a photographer from Owensboro, Ky. who firmly believes that photos have the power to capture a moment and tell a story. Her passion for photography started at a young age when she began taking pictures at her brother's little league games and running around at cross country meets.

Now, as a junior at Western Kentucky University pursuing a B.A. in Photojournalism with a minor in Marketing, Lauren has expanded her skill set and knowledge in various photography styles, including sports, landscapes, and portraits.

While she may be uncertain of what life will look like in the future, she's sure of a few things: to travel the world, meet new people and see things for what they really are.

Lauren's photography has been recognized locally, winning a photography contest for Owensboro Parent Magazine in 2020, showcasing her talent and creativity. Lauren's most recent published work can also be seen on the WKU Talisman website and in several magazine issues.

Aside from her love for photography, Lauren's heart lies in serving others. She attends Living Hope Baptist Church in Bowing Green, Ky. where she volunteers in the Kids Ministry on Sunday mornings with third and fourth graders as well as fifth and sixth graders on Wednesday nights.

When she's not behind the camera Lauren likes to hike, play pickleball, do word searches, and hang out with friends (and fun fact: she can juggle).
